Exactly, we group by generation and not manufacturer because that similar generations use similar technologies.

Imagine it like this: If this were a car repair shop we were talking about, grouping by brand of car would include every Ford imaginable, from the model T to the pickup trucks to the mustang and everything in between. Wouldn't it make more sense to group based on generation and type of car, even if you mix Chevys in a bit? Really, there probably isn't much difference between an F-150 and a Dodge Ram (Rams are pickups, aren't they?)

Rams can be pick ups and Yes becausE I have a 1987 AMC JEEP and since AMC got sold to Cyrstler and stopped using the same parts I use ford parts on my Jeep and Generic parts made in Mexico the other half of the time
