Serious portalizers

Well, I'm not a serious portablizer. Thats not why I joined.

I joined to steal the serious portablizers pancakes!

I guess I'm a "serious" portablizer, at the moment though I also happen to be a "penny-less" portablizer

Any-who my NPEST project is more or less going to be started from scratch some time in July, currently I have the SJIII NOAC running on 6v + regulator , and my hip-gear screen was running on 6v to but it died and now I need a new one. Also most of my cases fell apart so I need to design a new one.

So stuff I need:

Bondo (didn't use this in the "Learning" stage and regret it greatly)

Appropriately sized project box (I ruined my first one, it was to thick any way)

New screen (thinking of going with a hip gear again but they're getting harder to find these days. If all ale fails I will save longer and get a screen module from the place be gets his)

Rechargeable batteries/charger. (done with trying to accommodate battery doors into my cases)

New controller (rectangle style so I can integrate it easily into the case)

Famicom cart (for reference, yes this is going to be a famiP, call me a wuss but I don't want to deal with the size of US carts)

Misc. Solder, wire, screws, charging my dremel, etc.

Well that's about it I'm gonna post a picture of my case design later.

Im not Serious, but i would like to be. I can not afford nor find screens. I feel like i should give up on this.

I have built two portables. (I just never make a big hoo-hah about it because people would be all like "omfg j00 li4r" just because I Cannot get a pic of it on my pc) Those are prototypes, I can mass produce them, I take orders, just take a look at the trading post. (prices drastically reduced, lol) I am working on a third design, so stay tuned.

I try, but I'm poor as crap and don't have a lot of time, so it's kinda just something I do when bored. I like to be on the forums mostly because I can talk with other geeks and we can brag about modifying this or that without somebody going "OMG SFTU NOOB YUR A LOOSER!"

Not to mention this forum must be the friendliest one on the internet.

yes, i must agree with you there.
this place does have some nice people.
Maybe because here we discuss video games in general
not just "ZOMG the PSthREE is the STUPIDNESS AAND WiI IS BETA"
and we actually try to HELP eachother here.We are all here for one of three reasons.

1. To learn how to build a portable
2. To help people build a portable
3. To congratulate or discuss other peoples fine works

Heh im here for 1 and 3 however come the time that i get good at this i would be happy to share anything i may have learend along the way.
