anybody here ever go garbage picking? i just got back from it, we went picking at the school. we found NES games and dust coverS

Ive went Dumpster diving before at block buster...
Got some n64 games and stuff... but... they caught me.. but I just told them once it hits the curb its any mans treasure.

and uhh how did you get NES games at a school garbage?

i found it in a box labeled "teachers lounge". the teachers have NES parties when we are not paying attention, and they steal the games from kids. we found everything from NES games to rapid fat loss pills. heres what we all found

-NES donkey kong
-baloon fight
-rambo (NES)
a sega master system, with no games, controllers , or cords
-mario 1 w/duckhunt,2,3
-zelda and zelda 2
-tetris (nintendo one)
there was no NES but it was still cool. all of them work to

me and my friend fought over some of the games, but i payed him $5 to give me all of them.

I went dumpster diving at EB games and picked up 24 NES games and 20 of them are the SMB and DH. It's great I'm gonna have to do something with em'

I always wanted to go, but I've never done it. I should, though, especially since the dump is like 5-10 min. from my house

. It's a pretty good sized dump. Think I could find any good video game stuff there?

Well, my friend found a TurboGrafx 16 in the road one time. It didn't work, though. Does that count?

I've thought about doing it to find computer equipment, because honestly you'd be suprised the reasons people throw out their computers. I just have to be willing to drive around the nieborhood after dark, only think that would bother me is if people really think I'm stealing (it's legal once it's hit the curb).

i just get computers form my local dump, most of them a dirt terrible but i salvage useful things like PCI cards (ethernet, modem, sounds cards etc) and CD drives and stuff

Once in a while i find some old CR-R or RW drives

Best one i got so far is a 500Mhz Duron i nabbed from my school skip, there was loads in there but the philistines in my school were like "electronics...smashy smashy!"

I got an old Archimides out of there but i never got it working

i went there with the same kid that was there yester day and we let someone else in on our secret. i found a disk with everybodies yearbook picture on it, at least 200 unused floppy disks (use em for pr0n images) and the answer book to next years math book. my friend found this giant size pack of unopened twizzlers. not a favorite of mine, but still enjoyed a few. while walking back i bought a paintball gone (it was only a brass eagle, but it did come with a mask and scope) for $5. i dont have a paintball gun except for this one, but im ggoing to shoot squirrels with it.

I've never been dumpster diving, but when I was in Japan, (Atsugi Air Force Base) my family would often see perfectly good dinnerware (plates, cups etc) set out for the trash. My aunt explained this was because some Japanese are superstitous and if only one part of the set breaks, the whole set is "ruined".

My family still uses some of the rice bowls we found.
