Ok so one picuture out of 10 looks slightly, maby Photoshoped a little, perhaps. Even then it's not like hes the only one to do it, there has been many a car that has had a jet straped to it's back.

That's what I thought too, buth there's still the code fragment things.
He has a PhD, so he's no slouch at photoshop. :lol:
If I had to give a final, no givesies-backsies answer, I'd email him asking for a video.

I saw this on wired, and on here as well:

I strongly doubt it's fake, as all the reflections in the metal match up, the lighting matches, and so on.

i was working on a valveless pulsejet engine in my shop class, didnt have time to finish tho :(

there's a video of it, it's very real. sounded a bit more like "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!" than "VROOOOOOOOOM!! FWOOOOOOSH!" :P

man that is one cool car

however it does remind me of one of the darwin awards where someone did something similar, except them ended up taking off and crashed a couple of hundred feet up on a cliff face :lol:

I remember that too, but the guy who did that was a moron with no technological know-how. The engine he aquired was even stolen. But the storie's more of a legend since there were no human remains except for a tooth in the steering wheel (which was the only part of the car found).
