What's your connection speed?

Well I'm just damn curious. What's your connection speed etc. from a speed test. Just to be consistent let's all use this one:

Of course, individual download tests vary due to a number of factors, so everybody run it 3 times and average it out.

For all those n00bs, these are all in BITS per second. for bytes divide by 8.

Download Speed: Average: 7264 kbps or 908 kiloBYTESps (7203 kbps , 7298 kbps , 7291 kbps)
Upload Speed: 596 kbps or 74.5 kBps

i got 1900 kbits (237KB/sec)

which is odd because i never normally download that quick

I only got like 930 kBits

which is weird becuase I download FASTER then that.

and your speed depends on how close you are to the server you pick.

Download: 3909 kbps or 293 kBps
Upload: 653 kbps or 82 kBps

Keep in mind that I'm on wireless.

For some reason that Washington, DC server was faster.

Wireless routers consume 50% of the bandwidth acknowledging that the information was sent properly. And if it wasn't, it's gotta send a message back telling it to resend the data, and then the data is resent.

I'd only use wireless if I HAD to.

Well that's weird..

25 kbps download (that corresponds to my modem that says 28.8kb/s)
But it says my upload speed is 76 kbps!

How can that be?! I even did a test with a picture, and it took much longer to upload the picture than to dowload it.

Download Speed: 8272 kbps (1034 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 240 kbps (30 KB/sec transfer rate)

I have a 6MB connection, its just that my whole neighborhood must be using internet (Everyone has freaking Comcast)

EDIT: Second test on the Washington DC server:

Download Speed: 8273 kbps (1034.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 551 kbps (68.9 KB/sec transfer rate)

They have a location in the same city as me (Seattle) yet it said I have a dismal 533 kbps down, and 199kbps up. But mah internets be faster than that I'm sure.
