16-bit Consoles

Post by Unidentified Assilant »

Note to Gannon or Benheckc: Do not move this to the Super Nintendo 16-bit section, oh yeah, and make a Genesis Section since you can put a cart slot on the radica please

I had an idea of getting a Motorola 68000 processor and all the other stuff i need for making my own console, like the guy doing the GamePrime, only mine will be a bit more powerful and operate on a TV and not a monitor, to be more console-like and computer-like. Got any ideas?

If you're gonna make your own console, be sure to get a nice ppu. I remember that the guy who's making GTN actually made a computer graphics card using the nes' ppu :)

He thinks the Genesis is superior or in some way a lot different from its rival SNES. If people are going to keep PMSing over the damn lack of Sega than just add SMS to the 8bit, Genesis 16bit and Saturn to the 32bit. That way we can have you damn zealots shutup.

Only problem with that idea is that it makes searching for things a bit more complecated. I mean unless your a complete idiot you know that the SMS is 8bit and so on. Having to search through a few massive forums is going to be just about as bad as searching for info on the old forum. My proposeal is the best, a nice compramise (like the government) that will apease everyone.

Also to explain once more why Sega isnt mentioned in the 8bit, 16 and 32. The SMS is technicly already a portable, a.k.a the Game Gear; The Genesis is the Nomad; and the Saturn wasnt very popular in America.

Maybe we should just have one forum that says "All old Sega consoles" in addition to "Dreamcast".

I think it makes sense to organize based on generation. There is so much difference between the master system and the dreamcast, but very little between the SMS and NES on the inside
