Why can we say Damn and Hell, but not C_rap ? (Remove the _, obviously)

Ex:
Damn, damn, damn, hell, hell, hell, crap.

Because Black Six likes it like that and dont try to get around it by putting a _ in its not good

That would be a matter to bring up with Ben or Black 6. Even Ben commented on the ridiculousnes of the current auto censoring rules in a post a while back.

Ben also mentioned to us that he would like the language of the MB to be PG, adding that he's very vulger in person but wants it to be family friendly to any visiter to the site.

maybe its because you can actually use damn and hell in an intelligent conversation (like maybe talking about the bible or something) and i doubt that there is a time when you would use crap in an intelligent conversation

Also the reason why he wants it to be family freindly is becuase some little kids could go on the site and im sure theyre parents dont want them to see the s word or the f word every where.

I hate censorship in general. If you are offendend by what you see/hear change the chanel/station

Well we cant do that here, as this is a privately owned forum the owner (Ben) is the one that makes the rules.

But I do feel strongly about anti censorship on things like tv, radio and published papers. People are intellegent enough to ignore something or teach their children about it without screwing over everyone in the process,.... right?

yeah im saying it should be the channel not the government that chooses what we can see so if they channel (or a web forum) wants to keep a pg rating let them but big brother USA shouldnt tell us what we can and cant watch

Exactly, if you don't like the filter here, you can go find some other portable-making message board. Otherwise, live with it. If you think about it, in comparison with other message boards, we're really lenient here with what we allow you guys to post, yet you complain about the autocensor so much. Is that kind of language really neccessary? No. This board is set up as a place to discuss making portables out of videogame systems. Any situation that you feel you should use vulgar language should either not be brought up, or can be phrased in a less-vulgar manner. If you are incapable of doing that, go back to school and take a couple English classes, then come back and start posting again. Like I said before, we let a lot go by here, so stop criticizing us for what we stop. Normally I'd probably close a thread like this, but for discussion's sake I'll leave it open to hear some feedback.
