I opened it and its those longish lithium batteries that looks like 4ass bundled in blue plastic I hope the protection IC is built in as I like my hands

I know its hard to see the yellow dot is the 9v dc in the box on the left is the dc dc converter how do I wire it I put in + - coming out +tive 3.3v goes to N64 where does -tive go?
So how does it look have I drawn up the plans for a lithium bomb or a n64
Might as well connect that ground to the N64. Remember this though: 'ground' is a universal word. All grounds in a circuit are connected. There shouldn't be a ground output on the regulator, there never is.

started work on n64 yesterday but im having trouble removing the power socket with the crappy 15watt iron the store clerk convinved me to get over my 28watt one
doesnt melt the solder at all the pins are drawing away the heat wheres that blowtorch
you cant just hook 9v up to a lithium battery like that. sure, the protection circuit *might* stop if from blowing up (if it has one) but it also might not.
the protection circuit just cuts off the power based on voltage. for the chip i used in mine, thats 4.35v per cell. but i was taught that anything above 4.2 is dangerous. also, as you get past about 4v you need to taper off the current, you cant just keep pumping it in at full blast. the protection circuit does not even check for this.
so anyways, charging a lithium battery and using it at the same time is a bit tricky. unless theres already circutry on the battery pack that takes care of it. i didnt read actually read most of the thread. if thats the case you should be ok, just make sure you know what youre doing.
Ugh. Usually all DVD batteries have integrated charging components. I have an 8.4v DVD battery, and it take in ~9v input off any wall charger and charges. As you can see here, it's the same battery but with a wall wart charger!
Conclusion: All DVD batteries have integrated chargers.
