Darn pirate Genesis!

I sohuld really learn Japenease It could help in life. Or at least in buying pirate stuff

Woohoo! On a trip to Akihabara I found one of these pirate Genesis systems (actually, about 4 or 5 of them). They were 4000 yen instead of 3000 but came with a 10-in-1 cart (which seems to be legitimate, it has a hologramatic Sega guarantee thingy on the cart itself). These things are fantastic! Not only do they seem to be extremely small (I think the same size as the Genesis 3, and they weigh next to nothing), they have a PAL/NTSC switch and a Japan/Other region switch on the bottom! I just about crapped my pants! So yeah, I'm excited about the possibilities. Once I get home to America (this June) I'll be able to tell what sort of compatibility it has. But sound seems fine to me on it, at least with the 10 first-gen games it came with.

That's what I'm going to colege for. (will be the year after next) I'm currently a Japanese II student. I also have a foreign exchange student from Japan living with me. If you need anything translated, just ask.

Yes, it's 10 games on a cart. It appears to be a USA cart... maybe it was a pack-in at some point or something? I don't really know, but it seems to work regardless of region settings (and Streets of Rage is on there and switches to Bare Knuckle when set to Japanese. Same with Revenge of Shinobi -> Super Shinobi).
Anyway, it's small and I'm really happy with it. I'm thinking of ordering a few from gamebank as gifts for others I know.
