Just cut the wire off the mini mobo and put the power input in there. Or if you're doing the LED mod (which you should do) you'd wire the ground to your negative and the bottom of the far right 7805 to your positive.khaag wrote:
So is this right?
-Connect positive to: slot 1-pin 1
-connect negative to: slot 1-pin 2
-connect comp. video in to: slot 2-pin 1connect right audio in to: slot 2
pin-2
connect left audio in to: slot 2-pin 3
Is that right?

Why didn't somebody tell me that before I already did it? Huh? Everybody told me LED modding it is what you should do! Damn, I hope I didn't wreck my screen doing it...
EDIT: Does anybody have a picture of how they set up a 7808 with a psone screen showing where the positive and negative leads go to?

i think my screen looks pretty good and i did the led mod, i also jumped the fuse in the back for more brightness though. and ~1Amp down to ~300ma consumption is a pretty big jump skyone at least an hour or two with the batteries i useSkyone wrote:Yup. And LED Modding the screen really isn't worth it. Usually only 20 minutes more of gaming. Horrible lighting also.khaag wrote:A 7808C regulator will work for knocking 12V down to 8V for the screen right?
So I can connect the 8V output to the 7.5V solder pad and the ground to any other ground spot on the screen?Skyone wrote:And he's doing a GCp, so...CronoTriggerfan wrote:It depends on what system you're doing......GCp, no biggie, along with most NOAC's. SNES and NES portables, however, the LED mod increases playtime substantially.

Sorry about the crudeness of the drawing, hopefully it's good enough.
