Well, I don't know, but I'd like to remember a game of that era too. It was a game with Witches and apples...If anyone have an idea... I mean your were taking apple from trees if I remember and the Witch would start to run after you or something... If anyone know...

I used to have an Amstrad computer with tapes. The only available color was green though but I had a lot of fun. It had games like 'Da-Bells' which was extremely fun. It was my first video game experience too.

definitely Coleco Adam. It's not a console, but a computer with the same hardware as a console(the ColecoVision).

perhaps, but if somebody sees a coleco adam, they describe it with "huge, ugly, white brick" rather than 'snes-like case'.

could the item in question be the old 410 disk drive for the atari 8-bit line? There tended to be a lot of cosmetic changes to this unit, but most look about like this:

I don't know what it says when loading a program, because I was one of those spoiled children with a floppy drive. If it's anything like the floppy drive, there would have been a lot of beeping involved in the loading process.

I had a Tandy Color Computer II with a cassette drive. Ah, memories. I would find BASIC programs in magazines and type them out, line by line to see what they'd do. Then I'd save them on the cassettes. My first programming experiences ever.

Yes, yes they are, but the sad thing was that I had to explain to some guy more than twice my age at a flea market that the "learn spanish" tapes he had on the table weren't audio tapes and that they went to an old computer!
