super small single speaker audio player....i cant find one..

i am looking for a super small audio player. as small as possible. i looked online, but i couldnt find anything. only mp3 palyers and crap. i want something that will play when like, a button is hit. like the things inside a teddy bear or one of them cards. but i cant find one.... any help?

How about <a href="http://www.radioshack.com/product/index ... arch">this, from RadioShack</a>? It can hold up to 20 seconds' worth of sound, runs from a 9v battery, and the whole thing is pretty small. (I have one; it does pretty well.)

The tiniest one I can think off is that Nintendo 64 model keychain. It has a sound recorder inside and it's like half a gameboy cart in size. I don't think a device like that will have much memory though, 5 mabye 10 seconds. If it's just a audio player you want you might want to look in some very cheap computer speakers. Seriously I've opened some up and the circuit was only the size of a gameboy cart (that seems to be quite a common size

) and it was stereo! You can pick these computer speakers up at yard sales for a buck and they mostly run off 6V.

This is the smallest one I have. It was actually a gloptop ic with cat sounds on it that came with cat food but the circuit also has line-in for an audio source and mono out for a speaker.

It's not the camera that sucks but just me who can't take pictures.

Oh dude, I had a Yakbak! It was a tealish blue, and had buttons to record, play and had various preloaded sounds like 'Kat' and 'Dog-k.'

I loved that Yakbak like a child.

I used to have one, but I didn't know how to replace the batteries so all I could do with it was enjoy it as playback got slower and slower over the weeks. Pretty soon I'd talk into it and the returned sound was the audio equivalent of caramel.

Man I remember having one of those things! I used to stick it up to the TV speaker and make recordings of the dialog, don't ask why I was 5 for Pete's sake :WINK:, I then discovered that cassettes were much longer, but then I couldn't get every one quiet long enough to get whole movies, since I only knew how to use the inbuilt mic.

I still have my original YakBak. (all it does is record and play back sound; no effects). The only thing keeping me from using it is that it needs new batteries. (heck it needed new batteries years ago!)

Right now it's in a box in my closet with my tube of POGs and a bunch of other silly old toys.
