My portable NES - uh... help, please?

This is what I have so far:

A case-less NES
A Case

What would I do now? I just took it out of the case and took off the springy thing from the cartridge slot.

Also, any ideas for the empty case? It's still intact so I could out something in it.

Oh yeah, I have pics but I can't find the camera driver CD so I'll have to wait for my sister to upload them for me

I think I'll keep it and use it for something, just don't know what... Maybe I could make a fake NES that's actually a PS2 and show people, saying "look at the great graphics NES's have"

How would I fix a "blinking NES"? Could I avoid buying anything buy cleaning the cartridge slot? If so, how would I clean it correctly?

If I remember correctly, the lockout chip does it. I heard that one place, I have also heard get a new cart slot/clean the contacts.

How exactly would I clean it? I don't want to spend any more money than I have to, as I'm pretty much broke and will already have to beg my dad for enough money for a screen.

You can clean it using some isopropyl (I think) alcohol. It should be the non-rubbing kind, if that is better.

Just use a cotton swab.

Also, you can use a screwdriver to pull back the individual pins (it should be the small kind, the cheapo screwdrivers that are like 5 for a dollar).

The lockout chip can be clipped, I think it is pin 4. Search these forums; there should be a link to tutorials for all of this.

should I also clean the part of the circuit board that connect to it, and the game parts, too?
