SNES cartridge battery?

Where would I attain such a battery? My super metroid cart is down to erasing every time it is removed. I still have records from years past on Earthbound. (I love that game.) But where could I get a cartridge battery for my precious super metroid?

anywhere that they sell coin batteries. but you have to pry the battery off and solder as new one on. it just doesnt slip out.

, like the batteries watches use. the snes game bateries are certain types so look at the numbers on the snes game battery

No you don't. You just need 3V. If you wanted, you could buy a non-rechareable AA sized Lithium battery (there's some from www.allelectronics.com) and solder that to it, then hot glue it into the case. There's plenty of room for it. Anything 3V will work.

Yeah,

All Electronics is the best bet for that- they actually sell the exact replacement for the cartridge battery- it already has solder tabs on it.

So get off your butt and order a few o' them suckers! j/k

I can beat you. PokÃ©mon Silver, Gold, Red, Blue, AND Yellow died on me. That was like 1000 hours of my childhood! And I had all 151 on Blue!

I had them all on Red, blue, and yellow. (I bought a mew off of someone using real usd that he won at a tournament!) My blue battery died, but the Mew luckily was resting on the yellow, and I traded it to a newer cartridge of blue.

dont buy alkalines because you will get battery acid in about 10 years and dunk up your cart

im not sure if 2 AAs will fit inside some bigger carts. i know they wont fit inside ff3/6

I wasn't talking about alkalines, these are lithium coin cells with solder tabs on them. Their lifetimes are about 10 or 12 years. (heck, all of my battery-backed SNES games still save and it's been 14 years for some of them!)

yea I have been lucky mine still save and I live in a humid climate (humidity suck charge out you know)

Anyway I still have Donkey Kong Country 2 saves for the ninties

Actually they do just slip out, just bend the cover a lil bit, Pop a new one in, and bend the cover back.
