The rules and strict orders/consiquences on this forum are far too out of hand, I made one post saying I had the chance to be a moderator on another forum, Forum 42, OFF TOPIC Forum, and it gets deleted and I get PM'ed... and then proper grammar in post titles? come on guys... I know this will get locked or deleted, ban me.

Well, that post as I recall was a blog-y post. (Basically you said "I get to be a mod on another forum!" without any other means of initiating a debate or conversation.) This, too, is a bloggy thread.

As the forum grows in numbers, we have to keep it from going to hell in a handbasket, which means cracking down on the rules. In the absence of rules there is chaos, fighting, and all other sorts of not-good stuff.
If you want to post things like that, start a blog and put a text link in your sig.

Besides, you're not in a lot of trouble. One bloggy post isn't anything to be banned for.

it's not like:
I made a NES protable
that's pretty understandable. and many people have had their threads locked for off topic, but notice: they didn't get banned

so don't sweat it, it's fine (even if this is a bloggy post

)

I have nothing against blog posts personally, though it is still against the rules. With that in mind, even I think that was pushing it a bit too much. Got a story to tell? That's not so bad (again, for me). But really, I would possibly even question if that should go into a blog, let alone a forum.

As for locking this, I think this should decide: UA, is there anything you want to add about this? If not, would you care?

Your making a mountain out of a mole hill here. The deal with no blog threads is that they don't contribute to the community. It's all about the poster, so why aloue something like that? A blog is for your personal life.

Now about your thread about becoming a mod on another site. It likely wouldn't have been closed if you had had a question asked. Like "Hey mods what would be something to do or suggest to keep the forums clean over at the place I'm going?"

Now for grammar, well that should be simple enough. This is neither an IM client nor do we want to give the impression to people that come to the forums that we are lazy or dumb people. You have the time to type out a post, do a quick proof read and then hit submit button.
