I'm glad you made this thread because I am getting one too, but I also have an odd question involving controls. Are there any games that have you both use the pen and the dpad, or the pen and the a/b/x/y buttons? Being left-handed, I'd be totally screwed with using the pen and the dpad, but using the pen and the a/b/x/y buttons I'd be totally gravy.

Well the only game that comes to mind is Metroid, and of course, they have an option for lefties, do you really think that Nintendo would leave you guys out in the cold? In other words, you'll be fine.

And about the wireless router, it should work. The only problems you might have is if you have a password other than a WEP password. If there's no password, then there shouldn't be any problem. If you do have a WEP password, it will just prompt you for it and you type it in, it's fairly simple!

Even if the game requires both controls it's very easy to pick up and play.

I'm glad you had the nerve to create a thread such as this, because I just bought a DS a couple days ago! :P

So far I've tried the PSP and the GP2X, but none of them proved worthy. The PSP lacks good games and is a little too fragile for my tastes; the GP2X was neat for a while, but even the old 16bit titles from the Gen and Snes get old after a while, and its use of AA's is indeed annoying contrary to what others try to claim.

Then it hit me like a brick: the DS is cheaper than both the PSP and the GP2X, it is sturdy and has a built-in screen protector (it folds over itself), and it has new and innovative software titles with the Nintendo charm and quality that I have grown to love! I bought the combo pack with Animal Crossing: Wild World. A very interesting game- that. I also grabbed New Super Mario Bros, which is a lot of fun.

Anyway, I'm looking to buy more games, but I'd like to know what games the rest of you think are the best.

Mind if I hitch a ride on your thread? Sorry, you have no other choice. :P

I'm thinking of selling my PSP and all the games I have, but which one should I get after? A GP2X or DS?
I'd imagine right now you wish you were a cuttlefish...

I hate to say it after so long, but....just get a DS. The GP2X is nifty, but only that. The DS is practical as a serious form of entertainment.

If I got one of the newer handhelds, DS would be my pick. This would be if I had money. :D

Metroid Prime: Hunters is a great game, as is Mario Kart DS. I also really like Meteos, and I'm not really much a fan of puzzle games in the first place.

Dr. Killgood, here's a link for you to check out. On the left you can find if your router works with the Nintendo WiFi connection. If its not on there, it may still work, they just haven't tested it for compatibility.

Does anyone know how to overclock the DS? My friend saw my OC'd GBC and asked if his DS could be OC'd. I googled it, but all the sites had the same crappy video with no instructions. Help?

i dont use my 2x as much as i used to, but every few days i'll pick it up and play some pcengine on it, its just that development has been kinda slow i think. i know the devs arent paid and all but, no smashgp2x after a few months of the dev saying he'd port it really makes me sad :( im still gonna hang on to my 2x for a while i cant help but want to try out the new psx emu on it when he releases an update :)

Speaking of typing in WEP keys, I once found an access point and it said I could only access it with the WEP key. I typed in 'guest' and got accepted. :P
