This bloody thing is killing me

I have done everything in the stick AND IT STILL DOESN'T WORK!

Have I fried my N64?

How can I check if I did?

yes I have power to the N64, it is the right voltage and the DC-DC converter works good.

The heatsinks on the processors get warm after a little bit, the video and audio lines give off a voltage (which i think means they work)

I tested the screen with a NES and a hacked video cable and it works...very well I might add.

What do I need to check?

You said right voltage. What about right current rating? Maybe your game cart is broken?

Try taking jumper pak and cart out, and resetting the system. Then try a couple different combinations of putting things in (put the jumper pak in, turn it on, turn it off, put the game cart in, etc.)

your problem is probably that the N64's asleep. some of them do that sometimes and wake up a week (or maybe even longer) later. check the troubleshooting thread.

ok I'll wait a week and snot even touch It..

My Mainissue I believe is that I tried to do too much at once... (power lines, video lines, cart relocating)

What else could It be? I'm pretty confident I have enough current (I'm using a modded Laptop Power supply, 12V at 3 Amps)

How does the reset switch operate?

I think since I jumped the power switch I need to also jump the reset switch (I removed them both to save space)

If the reset switch works on the "break in the line principle" then I need to jump It

If it sends the active line to ground then I shouldn't

???

no you dont need to jump the reset switch that would leave it in a constant reset
