well im pretty much done my portable but now the power blinks on and off... whats wrong??

so it turns on and off by itself? what batteries and dc-dc convertor are you using?

the dc-dc for your guied....Cant remember what it is a 33 on the end ya know.. and for batteries i was using a 7.5 volt wall adapter so thats it

how much ma can your wall adapter supply? if it's less than 1.3A w/ LED mod or 1.6A-1.7A w/o LED mod then thats probably your problem. if your problem isn't with the power supply, maybe something is loose or there's a bad connection somewhere.

well i checked my dc-dc's power to the 3.3 volt line and it was 6.9 or somthing... well F#@% there goes that n64 :roll: :( jeeze it was so small to... it was in a psone case ... running perfectly i put it down to eat breakfast and poof. time to find a new hobbie :evil:

so was the dc-dc oputputting 6.9v or was that the input? if it was the input then it should be fine for that but too low for the screen. if it was the output, either your dc-dc is wierd and you're screwed or it's wired wrong and you're screwed. try running it on batteries and see if that helps.

err.. i just plugged it in to the origional power supply and it is fried :x

ok so back when it was working i was playing golden eye it froze up about 5 minutes in playing....so i put a bigger inductor in to give the n64 more current and um... somthing happened ...the dc-dc converter was fried and in turn that fried the n64.. thats my therory. So can you fry a dc-dc converter and a n64 by putting to big of an inductor in?? :?

yeah the bigger inductor probably forced too much current into the N64 and killed it.

thats odd because it was barely bigger at all? also what size should i use?
