I finish what I start, the Genesisp (Prodigy) 56K BEWARE

After such wait, and time, the project I started nearly a year ago, is in the form of this, the Genesis Prodigy. Based off of G-Force's, it's pretty simplistic, except for resoldering the teeney controller traces. I used the old Intec Screen, meaning the audio amp chip was fried, so I got a Hip gear one, and works kinda good, though in kinda noisy rooms, the sound isn't really that audible, and the volume controler potentiameter won't mute. It can you know, play 32X and Sega CD, which I personally like, and if you don't like the built in controls, connect your own. Battery are 4 AA's to run, and 8AA's to run for a while. Of course, the wall adapter is OK, and you can use the normal Genesis 2 A/V cord for TV hookup, and the wall adapter is Sega or PSONE. I hope to fix up the action buttons panel, and thank you all for your support, bye guys, for now.

Also, since I fried my PSONE, I'll be BAck!

Is this both psone and genesis? I saw a PSOne mobo in the first pic. I can recognize one immediately because of working with one so much.

Nice job! I really like the Genesis V2 case, nice and sleek. I was actually going to use it for my SNESp MKII, but then I thought about the abuse I would get from my friends for the irony factor.....

Now, for questions

! (Not many this time)

1. Are you gonna cover up the elastomer pads with buttons?

2. How's the screen fastened on? (Velcro, hot glue, etc.)

3. Well, this one's kind of more of a statement, but you really should draw up a wiring diagram for this thing in, say, MS Paint. Even PoD has VERY limited info on the Genesis (not to mention BenWiki). Plus, it'd help out a lot of the n00bs who'd like to build a Gp, like my friend who asked about it the other day.

OH, ho ho, eager mcbeavers I see...but for Chrono, why not?

1. Yea, I'm gonna put in some electrical tape/hot plastic...

Not sure it's the best idea, but the tape is working like a charm. Basically, I put the tape down the rubber pads, then put the buttons, whilst putting tape around that, then I pour some plastic/glue substance that makes a kind of mold, then I remove the tape that held the buttons, and cover up the glue with tape...voila?

2. Well, it's creepy how I did it. I had some nails, that fit PERFECTLY in the past screwholes, and so I heated the nails, and stabbed them through the holes and case. Apparently the plastic fused with the iron in the nail, keeping it transfused and VERY tight.

3. I'll have one by two days, I have something big tommorrow.

Your techniques are, well, unorthadox, but they actually sound like they'd make for quite the nice portable, as evident from your Gp. Again, great job and I'm looking forward to that diagram come later this week.
