security certificate

occasionally when browsing various forums i get a message in firefox with some jazz about security certificates, saying somone can view my information and such.

ive noticed this on a number of diffrent forums. i always just accept and continue buisness.

what are these certificates and why do i keep getting warned about them? do i have a securit leak i need to worry about? i dont see how i can to be honest.

It is a security certificate fso that your computer is directly connected to a site and noone else is watching

Only big wig business sites have them (eBay, Buy.com, Amazon)
So it is nothing to worry about

so does it basically mean that im connecting to the host of the forums to send and recieve data so that no one else can intercept?

pretty much there ain't nothing to worry about everyone here has to accept it to view the forus if there waws a problem...then not too many people would be here now would they?
