halo2 on a 360

my friend bought a 360 about a week ago and he just bought halo2, the game plays but its kinda glitchy sometimes, anybody know why? and does anybody know if you can play halo2 through xbox live on a 360, everytime he tries he gets some funky message saying there is a message for him in his account thing, so we check the account thing and nothing is there? does anybody else have a problem with this because there is no problem running other games like call of duty2 on live.

Go to settings and enable playing Original Xbox Live games online. For some reason, it's disabled, which causes that stupid message, the message acually says if you check an original Xbox that you are banned until 9999, but enabling Xbox live games makes you unbanned. Make sure you enable everything while you are there!

Also make sure you downloaded the patch for Halo 2 from Live. Without it, there are glitches, especially with the sound.

It means that the original Xbox isn't.
