Are Snes region machines?

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

Are Snes region machines?

Post by MarioTennis »

I am ordering one from UK rightnow on ebay, but i have games from canada. Will i be able to play the games and mod the system, or is it a region only system? I really would like to know soon.

So will i be able to make the system work without an adapter, if i have usa/can games? it is an Uk machine. Thanks

Normally, no; Euro systems are usually in PAL format, but that one is NTSC, so you'll be fine.

Ya, but look at it; it's even in NTSC format, so I don't think it'll even have the tabs. It's probably just an American SNES that someone in Europe owns.

Canadian games are the EXACT same as US games. They are both NTSC. we both use the same SNES. They only difference are usually in the manual/box as it comes with some french instructions/decriptions on the box(but that only started in the recent gen of games).

We aren't THAT different up here :P
SNESp - 100%
Protable X - 15% - I need money :(
