i have norton anti virus on my ibook G4 and it said it detecrid a download.trojan in my cache is this a threat to my computer in any way
A watched download never completes.

Highly doubt it, cause the news would have been all over the first supposed "mac trojan" they love that crap. :P :roll:

Although, if you have a PC on your network, it could jump over to it possibly, so it might be a threat in that case.

first mac trojan? umm sorry but the mac has trojans, worms, virii and malware just like every other OS with a decent number of users. And has had for a very long time.

Funny if Macs had viruses then why is Apple selling the new Intel Macs as lacking viruses and crap like that? Maybe because they do and it sounds like you don't know what you're talking about.

The majority of those 28 viruses appear to be from the late 80s and early 90s, when Apple was using its 'Classic' OS. None of them would have any effect on OS X. And anyway, 28 over 20 years compared to probably hundreds of thousands for PC, that's practically nothing.
