A tip for all you Dreamcast owners out there...

Just thought I'd drop by and mention that gamestop has Dreamcast VMU's for only $1 right now, I just stopped by and grabbed a couple myself. I wish I had a VMU earlier, them things are the coolness!

Sounds like their liquidating their Dreamcast inventories. Sounds nice, just I have 2 already and unless you have several PSO characters (because you can have only one per VMU), I can't see a point.

How much are games though?

i scored three n64 rumble packs, an extension chord , and a first party memory unit all for a buck a piece

My cousin and I cleared out the whole supply of VMU's at my EBgames a month or two ago. They had 11 of them there; figure it wouldn't hurt to have more memory then needed, especially for $1 each.

how do you use a VMU as a handheld game? i never quite figured it out...

You can wire your VMU up to your parallel port and load stuff on it.

I did it, but since I'm running XP direct port access is disabled. Use a program like allowio (search for porttalk).

The funny thing about modding the VMU is that all you can really do is transfer game data or VMU games. Of that it's not hard to do that with another VMU. And the games, oddly enought there are emulators for their games, for PC or Dreamcast.

I did the AA mod to my VMU so I wouldn't have to buy anymore of those damn CR2032 batteries.
