Harshboys GCp V3: The HGP
Ye Story has begun!
Gamecube Portable V3: The Hgp (Harshboy's Gamecube Portable)
The Beginning....
For score and 5 months ago'th, a Gamecube portable was'th born to ye 13 year olde. He and hith Gamecube portable had many fun times together. Ye was happy with ye invention. But then a dark evil came and took over ye room.......a very dark evil, one that even (insert ye religious figure here) could not defeat. It was ye himself. Ye Gamecube portablish had been ripped open by ye forces of evil. Parts lay across the mighty room of holyness. Ye had encountered many problems along the way....now, here is the story behind ye Gcp, known as the all mighty Hgp........dot...dot..dot...dot...........dot...
The Parts....
For some, this will be beyond there knowledge. For me, its like eating ramen noodles.....The parts are simple as follows:
Gamecube and cables
Psone Screen (A new one!)
GBA Player (Mem card version)
12 Volt battery
7808 Regulator
IDE/Floppy wire
A working DVD Drive (Yet to be bought!! Arg!)
........more to come

Man, sorry to hear that. A word of advice in your time of despair: Hot glue ALL your contacts! That way this kind of stuff won't happen in the future. Try adjusting the laser pot on the disk drive, and just buy a new screen; I've fried screens before (YoboP) and I wasted valuable time trying to fix the damn thing....it seems when the PSOne screen falls, it falls HARD! Look on the bright side, though; you can make a SUPER nice case for this next one! Maybe a blessing in disguise, no
?
Sorry,

Well, i am going to make a new case. But until then, i only have enough money to buy the screen for now. In a week or so, i'll have a tad more. I might rename this thread: Harshboy's GCp V3:The HGP
EDIT: Merged:
Sad to say, but last night while i was playing my GCp (Super Smash Bros) it died. The screen has been fried beyond repair. Not only that, but today, my DVD drive has stopped working! So now, i have no idea whats wrong. The screen got fried by 2 wires touching that shouldnt have
But the DVD drive is really puzzeling me. I have the whole thing torn apart (if you didnt get that through other posts) and everything else is working. Also, i need a whole diagram with the composite pinouts on the gamecube motherboard. If you could put them over this picture:

Color code using this chart:

What is the GBA player mem card version? Is it a GB player that plugs into the mem card slot?Harshboy wrote: Gamecube and cables

Yes...And can someone for the sake of (insert religous figure here) post a modified version of my pic with Video, ground, and audio. I might not include one in this version though....Anyway, i just modded my board a little. I took off all the ext. ports on the bottom of the gamecube, one mem card port (it was broken) and the component adapter (the one on the first GCN models). What i want to do now is to take off the adapter for the power regulator and connect them via wires. Now, i think this is ahead of my league to solder to, but i'll ask you guys. How tiny are the soldering points? Are they small enough to put a hole in, put wire through, and solder the other side? I also did a DVD drive mod. It is about an 1.5 inches thinner! More updates to come!
Ok, but i want the "ok to go" from Turbo or Gamelver first. I also need to know the best place to split the controller (I just gave away im doing a landscape design
) I'll post the pics as soon as i get some help! I'm also thinking of one of those really good expensive batteries.....well, updates to come

Check EB Games. Its called Gameport Advance. I got it for like 15 bucks (new)
EDIT: And turbo, my controllers are backwards, like the one you soldered to the buttons is the one that is on the right, and the one on the right for me will be on the left. If your confused, the revisions of the controllers are switched for us. This does confuse me, what do i do. Heres a pic, if you could draw lines for me, that'd be great

you dont need to cut one controller but you need to canabalize another one, this makes it easier to do
