The good news is it'll probably be only in Japan, as those crazy Japanese people will probably love it. I think its actually quite funny how it sounds like such a useless waste of time and energy.

Yeh, this sounds like a Japan-only thing for now. While AC was a success in other regions, it was a SMASH HIT in Japan. Considering Japan's love for quirkiness, an AC animated movie isn't exactly that odd for it. There's no confirmation it will show outside the country yet, so at least kick back. If it somehow manages to be a good thing, then well, we can only hope it comes to a theater near you.

(I live in the U.S.), the public here may not respond well to it even if it does come out. Anyhow, let's just see how this all goes.

Ya, it may just be in japan. a lot of game movies are made just for japan, ala Shenmue: The Movie which was japan only, or you could get it in the Xbox packaging of Shenmue II
