power consumption

Post by Krepticor »

ok I have a real question about what to look for and buy

I know that the smaller mobo Snes Original is not all that big
I also know of the simple fact that the SNES Mini is definatly small

However, size ain't the issua

My issua is how much juice does each suck?
Sorry for the southern draw but i'm kinda confused (I'm from the south i kin make that kinda corny not all that funny joke)

there's no way SNES takes 500ma, do you know that for a fact? somebody should check that out. Genesis 3 takes 200ma MAX and i doubt SNES mini takes much, if any, more than that.

Ya, sorry, the Wiki is wrong. The SNES Original sucked 500mA, but the mini clocks in at 250mA. I know this for a fact; tested it with a multimeter, and timed the run. With my 3300mAh batt, an SNES mini mobo+a PSOne LED modded screen=600mA. The system ran for about 5 hours, thus proving my point. It was in some other thread, too....I'll dig it up if I can find it.

EDIT: Yep, here it is! Actually, I was the one who posted it  ! Next time, try searching first: http://benheck.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=10362
