POWER SHIFT!!! Has Wii gained the upper hand?
Folks, I think I've made myself clear; to me, the only thing besides MGS holding Sony in there is, of course, Square Enix. Or so we thought. SE has just announced that it's enormously popular Dragon Quest series has found a home..............on the Wii! Yes, SE's first next-gen attempt will be on the Nintendo Wii! Dragon quest is big here, but in Japan, it is the bestselling game series EVER! This is just huge. Don't buy it? Read more here:

Has Nintendo's innovation finally won Square Enix over?
CTFan
Oh, and they announced more of that Crystal Chronicles crap for the Wii.

In responce to the thread title, let's wait and see how it fairs on the market. Trying to predict that something is going to be a success, even if major market leaders or analysts say so isn't a garentee. I'd say wait and see how the launch day, and the launch titles go.

When Wii comes out, I will probably have to add it to my console collection(which I believe is getting out of hand at the high number of... 5 currently)[/url]

I'd say that for Nintendo to make better market gain, they need a broader genre library. The thing that really kept Nintendo from making the sales that Sony or Microsoft, is the sports, RPG and FPS games. I know that Nintendo has the idea that we're all kids at heart, but having games like Mario Party 7 just are not going to make the sales or console sales that something like Halo or GTA SA can.
Now I know those are extremes for examples but to specify, Nintendo needs to aim a little older. The teen and adult demographic are always going to have more money to spend on games, esspeally themselves.
