woot

Post by timmeh87 »

so the other day my friend told me about this site, http://www.woot.com . apparently, every day they buy up some sort of electronics surplus, and then sell it all day until they are out of stock (apparently the deals are so good that they are ALWAYS out of stock by the end of the day)

today was a 3MP camera for 60 bucks. looks like its worth bookmarking.

They sound sorta mean, look at the "What is woot?" button. Gannon, how much did you buy the 250gb HDD for?

I have two of their 250GB WD HDDs I bought in January, they're pretty decent for $50. The HDDs were in the double woot-off two or three times last month, so they might actually be gone by now. Or maybe not. One of mine failed SMART after a week or so, but they replaced it lickety-split. Good company. If you live in Texas, there's a special coupon, TAXSUCKS, which credits Texans a certain amount of money off shipping, but you would have to pay tax instead.

Woot.com has been clearing the heck out of the EA Sports Madden 95 / NHL 95 plug-in TGFX16-OAC that's all but completely worthless. I think they cleared them at two for a dollar during the last woot-off!

I think the genesis things were 2 for $5. Right now there is a pretty nice looking keyboard/mouse combo, bluetooth with LCD on the keyboard, for $75 :)
