Are those 20-30% speeds with or without overclocking? This is very interesting...very interesting indeed. Now I'll need to load the PS1 emulator on my GP2X just to feel better about myself :P

Ok, guess what! Daedalus has been updated to R4 as of last night. Gfx look much better (Almost flawless in Mario 64) and speed has increased. You can get upto 25 FPS on some games! And btw, Daedalus overclocks the PSP durring boot. It clocks to 333 Mhz. No-one really knows what this does, but so far, no-one has reported it harmfull! And also, all you guys who have to wait 20 minutes to load the game (To decompress) do this:

1.) Download Tool64, then load it up
2.) Convert rom to Little Endian (A B C D)
3.) Rename your converted rom from "Rom.n64" to "Rom.z64"

Enjoy!

Also, the games that are *playable* that i have tested so far are:

Snowboard Kids 1
Super Mario 64
Legend of Zelda: OoT
Mario Kart 64
Super Smash Bros.

The reason that v64 roms take so long to load is becausewhen you dump a cart with a Doctor V64, it doesn't notice the endianness of the image. Thus the romimage comes out being byteswapped. Emulators have to swap all these bytes to their proper order whenever the file is loaded. If you download a byteswapping util from www.dextrose.com this step is eliminated.

Edit: darn, harshboy beat me to it! Should've read the thread.

If I remember correctly the PSP cpu was designed originally to run at 333mhz anyway, but it was dropped to 222 or something to conserve battery power, etc. I don't think it'll be harmful.

(random cursing) and they said the PSP would never do N64! >...<

You should list unplayable games too, just so there are no discrepencies.
Also give some details, speed and graphics and the like. I'll keep a game list on the first post.

EDIT 2: Btw, heres the official thread: Click here or Die!!!!!! j/k on DCemu! I am Harshboy there aswell

And is this true:

....so really, corn is not a good emulator to be ported to the PSP? I'm so confused

Legend of Zelda only ran at around 3 FPS, but for the most part, everything was perfect. Except for link and a couple other characters (Zelda's one) all the people had wrong or no textrues...they were simply black and purple :P.

The textures on everything else was good, except in parts of the sky or wall in the Kokiri forest...Overall, incredibly close to getting it looking perfect, so now most of the work is just increasing the speed...and eventually, though very unlikely, adding sound as well...
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

I could care-less about sound if it can get around 75-90% speed. Just put IR shell in the bg and play your MP3's while playing Daedalus  I'll keep you guys updated on this.

meh the gp2x dont/wont have n64 casue it has no 3d processing chip. but it has better psone emulation than the psp does lol. it plays RE at almost full speed and most other games at pretty decen speed (i think with sound) at frameskip 3 or so, most games will run 5-10 fps at frameskip 0
