Steamboat Mickey mocks me with B and W

So, I finally got my Genny and screen simaltaneously running off of 4 AA's, but the color is....*gasp* Black and White. CURSES! However, my AAs, are used...a lot, so is low battery life a symptom for B&W, or what?

I don't believe the batteries could be to blame for the loss of color, it usually happenes when something is connected wrong/poorly/not at all. Oh, and it's Steamboat Willy.

lol, I'm using Steamboat Willy as an analogy to say that my Sonic is running in Black and White

Update: The screen is OK, apparently, the AA's have little juice on 'em, I ran it off a wall adapter, and I got everything A-OK!
