Delete high numbers in Itunes

Is there any way I can do a batch delete so I dont see them? there all by the same artist, tell me if I need more info so far google has yielded no results.

in the search window type the artist so it'll only show the songs by that artist. Then (assuming you have a PC) hit ctrl+a to highlight them all, and smack the trusty delete key (between backspece and enter, to the right). I don't know if I have to specify where delete is to you, but so many people think I mean backspace because they use their macs with confusing alternate names for everything.

. Yeah you can also use shift+click to highlight multiple things, and from there you could delete, or batch modify with ctrl-I (or apple-I for the mac users out there)
