The Beatles' VERY FIRST US album. This record was so popular upon release that tons of pirate copies were made, now only about 1% of these are the real deal. This one is.

For those of you that don't know, this is a shopsmith. It can do pretty much anything, but I alreayd have the use of better equipment so I use this mainly for its disc sander.

My puny work space... soon I will have the table shown in the above picture for my nefarious purposes.

Very nice NES_fanatic, how old are you anyway? (I'd consider it a draw for now... I don't have my camera handy anyway. I've got more vinyl, and two new posters since those pictures. I've also got that Sgt Pepper picture disc, autographed, $250 on ebay awhile ago... totally worth it)

This is where I do most of my work:

Soldering stuff, lots of screws and hardware.

Bin of resistors, capacitors, etc, drill press, and a tool box full of just about every screwdriver, hand saw, and pair of pliers that I own. (And a box of portable N64 parts off to the side

).

All of my airbrushing stuff, and a vent box to get rid of all those nasty fumes.

And the whole thing, with my drills and jigsaw hiding under the corner. All of the big stuff (aka my dad's tools) are in the garage

I'm only 15, but that's still ahead of lots of people on these forums.
I guess it is a tie, but I've still got those figurines atop my televivion and that error record which you shall never aquire because I have the only one on this lovely planet.

I had most of the CD's, and they were the English versions as well (alternate covers and tracks), but they warped in my family's van on one trip. As for movies, I've only got yellow Submarine, The First US Visit documentory, and The Rutles: All You Need is Cash. The last one doesn't really count, but I suggest this movie for anyone who likes the Beatles.
Plus, the Rutles movie is a super-old video tape. I don't play it much anymore because it's starting to wear out; this tape was made before VCRs were even available to the middle-class (1979)!

From the stuff I see in your room, I can tell you must be freaking rich. I mean, you just hopped on ebay and bought a $250 record like it was a bag of cheetos. I literally have no money all the time, I can only go out and buy an album or two when I recieve a wad of cash for my birthday or Christmas.

Word of advice from one collector to another: Scope out the British versions of the albums. Up till 1967 there were slight variations between the albums in the U.S. and in England. Usually just different songs were contained on the different albums, but there were greater differences sometimes like parhaps an album only comes out on one side of the pond! Some of the harded-to-find British albums include Please Please Me (with a paper back) and the british Hard Day's Night.

My parents don't let me grow my hair that long. But I really want a moptop!

Alright, I got some pics that I just snapped.

Here's my downstairs computer area. (My upstairs one has a better PC but my Dad is on it right now)

Here is my garage where I do soldering, 'power-tooling', and etc. (Can't use it right now because my parent's cars are inside it, *sigh*)

This is my cabinet where I keep most of my computer software, games and electronic related stuff

Oh, Skyone, you play guitar too? This is my families collection of musical instruments. In that gig bag is my Squire Cyclone (its a pretty crappy guitar), that black acoustic on the rack is mine, the red P-Bass is my brothers, that black Fender '74 (I think, i'm not quite sure) Strat is my dad's (NICE guitar!) and that crappy Yamaha acoustic is also my Dad's. That keyboard belongs to all of my family, we got it for Christmas.

No, I'm really not that rich, maybe compared to some people, but it really is perspective. The picture disc only happened because my dad is more obsessed than I am (he's the one with the money, obviously). My room is simply my obsession with the 70's that formed over 3 years. And yeah I'm well aware of the differences between the US and the British albums, but I usually have to just settle for what I can find. (Little Rock, AR isn't exactly the place to buy vinyl...).

To comment on the CDs, I don't actually have hard copies of all of them, I've just borrowed from family members and ripped them onto my computer. So if you happen to need something for your collection, I've got it. (just PM me or something)

And from one collector to another- you've GOT to get A Hard Day's Night (it can be found at Barnes and Noble or something) and Help! (I got it bootleg off ebay for $7). Both are great if you haven't seen them, whereas Magical Mystery Tour is so-so, but it's like 10 bucks at Best Buy, so it might be worth it.

Anyway, PM me about the music if you want any, and it's great to find someone else who's as obsessed as I am.
