SNES Game Genie question
As some of you may already know, my PAL to NTSC mods are giving me a bit of trouble, and I think I'm going to explode if I can't play Terranigma soon! Anyways, I heard from dankicksass that the Game Genie can override the NTSC SNES lockout chip and allow Terranigma, a PAL game, to run on my American SNES. Is that true? I hope it is, because I just bought one off of ebay! Also, if this won't work, are there PAL to NTSC SNES converters? I know I saw one somewhere, but I can't find it now. Link?
Thanks,
CTFan

Read the discription on this one: http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?produc ... f=froogle2
If you want it, just wait till it's available. I think you can order it and "get in line" so to speak.

The Game Genie can override the chip, but, for a more permanent solution, you can disable the lockout chip manually ([sic] permanently) by running pin four (4) of the lockout chip to a ground. The only problem, though, is that if you do this, you cannot play some games, such as Super Mario RPG - this is why the switch was invented, however. Also, unless you have a portable, or have gutted and rebuilt your system for some odd reason, you will need to clip off the tabs from inside the cart slot. This page will show you how to do that.
