GP2X or XGP?

Post by Big-O »

I've been looking to add one of these handheld systems to my collection, but I do not know which one is better in terms of emulation. I am planning on running emulators with (legal, homebrew) roms and watching videos.

So, what poison shall I take?

The 2x. I don't think the XGP is out yet, and the XGP is supposed to be a legit item (think PSP).

go with the gp2x. the xgp is going to be a lot less open source, and as far as i know, not many people are going to/will be able to develop for it.

my plan for the GP2X is this:

1.Get it first.
2.Then,get a 1 gb sb card.
3.Buy the Memorex TravelSync.
4.Buy 2, 1gb usb thumb drives.
5.Enjoy (legal) roms, videos, and music when ever and where ever you are.

Edit: Crap, looks like i'll be buying a card reader too.

XGP is dead. They are not real graphics. I do not believe it will ever be released however i may be wrong.

Speaking of card readers mine on the front of my pc is is a stupid place. Keep missing the SD slot and poking the plastic above lol
