Your wiring diagram seems to look ok. By the way, where did you get germanium diodes? I wanted some a while back and looked all over and couldnt find any.

Germanium diodes are used in guitar effects pedals that are usually for low current applications

um, if you're using 7.2V batteries, won't the voltage drop make it less than 7.2V (well, perhaps not at first, when fully charged, but later) :P?

Unless you're using an LDO or some DC-DC converter for the 5V line on the N64, rather than the 7805, I believe the voltage will be too small to power the 7805 :|....7.2V is the minimum input value, is it not?

Actually he was referring to the 12V line on the n64. It uses a 7805 to take the 12V (or whatever your using - 7.2-35 or whatever it is) and drop it to 5V. Hes saying that the 7805 requires at least 7.2V to work so that if your battery drops below that, then the 7805 doesnt have enough power to run the N64. Once again, this is for the 12V line on the N64. Hope that helps. :D
