NESp not working

NESp not working
I'm almost finished with my NESp, but when I powered it up last night, I could see the screens brightness/volume bars. All the screen would do is flicker, so I made sure all the wires were going to the right spot but it still didn't work. I would be grateful for any suggestion on what the problem could be.
do you mean that it would flicker like the NES did when it was constantly resetting? Also, make sure that all your ground wires are connected correctly, including the video ground. And did you make the video amp circuit that you need or are you still using the RF box?
What I have shown you is reality. What you remember, that is the illusion.

I had gotten to a point where i had sound but no picture. I found out it was because I was generating 5v without using the screen regulator and putting the output to where the output of the 7805 on the screen was. I found out later that there are two 7805s on the screen. Are you giving power to the input terminal of one of the 7805s on the screen? I'm just guessing, give me a break here.

I'm not sure i know what you mean but, i was messing around with it to try and get it to work when i look down at the screen and saw that the front top right led was glowing red i started to think it was neat, then it started smoking and I remembered it was suppost to be white. after taking a closer look i think it caught on fire some how. I removed the screen from the motherboard and ran it without the screen. i here this humming noise that is very high pitch but quite and every once in a while for a split second it will get louder and the green led on the front top left corner of the motherboard will come on.

Are you using a PSOne screen? If so, what resistors are you using in your LED mod? If you're using a 10-ohm, as suggested in Ben's book, it's too weak. You actually need to have a 22-ohm resistor, or wire two 10-ohm resistors in a series. That way, your LED's won't overheat as they just did. As for the NES problem, try replacing the 72 pin connector and putting on a new one.

I am using a PSOne screen and I looked at the resistor that i was using for the screen and it was a 30-ohm, so i'll try a 40-ohm. I didn't get a new 72-pin connector, justed cleaned it, because i never had a problem with it before i tore the nes apart. I'm still getting the same problem though. I also noticed that when the green led flashes the screen gets brighter too. could this be a problem with my power.

Mine was working fine for about a week or two. Then all of a sudden, my SNESp started to smoke and the hot glue around the resistor melted! Just saying, watch out. Even if it doesn't happen to you, I'd do it as a precaution if you get the chance. I'm just lucky it wasn't my YoboP, 'cause it's made of wood
