my PSoneP is finally starting to take shape. the parts came in.

This is how I am fitting the screen in. the O, X, tri and square buttons had to be sized down to fit, but it all squeezes in well. I am testing every step of this install, so I don't screw up.

The unit will be all black in the end. The white is paper cutouts to show where I will cut holes in the case

The hole cutting idea didn't work, so I will bondo this into the front.[/img]

Hey that'll look pretty good with some paint. Nice job. Black is a cool color too, are you going to make it flat or shiny black?

I know how you feel with the camera. On my old camera I had to take 4+ shots each time I wanted a pic because 3 of them would turn out blurry or the flash screwed up or something. Very frustating.

Nope. If I want to play a game that needs analog, I can just plug a controller into the player 1 slot. I have kept all original playstation functionality, including the a/v out, both memory card slots, and headphone jacks. it even has a lid open/shut switch on the front so I can use backups with one of those nifty mod disks, if i should so choose.

G-force: I am leaning towards shiny black, but am unsure of how to keep the paint from marring from skin oils. I've heard krylon fusion is effective, but mine is made of metal. will automotive duty paint do the job? if so I'm going for metallic flake black.

I still have a ways to go before painting, Bondo wise. I have to fill in and sand down little pits and bumps all over the unit, and give it a finished look. I want it to look semi-pro :P

Well, why can't you use Krylon Fusion? It is specifically made to bond to metals and plastics, so what's wrong with it?

I thought it was for just plastic, but apparently I'm mistaken, so I'll just use that. :D
