Actually you can get a 3.3V battery from any good computer store, for powering the clock. It's a button battery though, so the N64 would only run on it for a minute or so.
could some one get me everything i need and i pay you like $8 or so..could you make the connections so i could just hook it up to the n64?

Look, wiring a TI DC-DC is almost as easy as connecting it to the N64. You need to solder one thing across the output to the ground, and then connect the remaining pins to the battery and the N64. You might need an inductor, but that's simple too. The key is doing it first, then learning to understand it afterwards.
If you can solder a resistor, you can solder a DC-DC converter. Pictures might help more than wiring diagrams. You may not be experienced with electronics, but basic soldering is all you really need for this.
Quick question though. The BenWiki diagram. Should i take that diagram literally and do exactly what it says? I'm kinda confused about how you have to put the capacitor from negative to posative...
ok i am now getting this but i was wondering if i could get this capacitator at texas instruments for free? can some one give me a link to make sure i dont screw up and get the wrong one! ( the 100 uF)
electrolic is the normal round cylinder kind. caramic is the little platters. there's no real limit to how much uf it can be but just try to find one around 100uf. they aren't rare. the biggest one i've ever tryed was 1000uf
