Second MAME cabinet completed!

About 9 months after my last cabinet was finished, I have completed a second arcade cabinet, this one for one of my former teachers. I told him about my old one, and he realized that is exactly what he would want. He and his wife are very enthusiastic about the colleges they went to, so they wanted that theme for their cabinet, and I was able to include it for the marquee, the control panel, and for a Mamewah skin I made. That said, take a look yourself!

(bear with me on the rotated image, all of the uploading things I've used do it for some reason, even though it's a vertical image

That's nice! What games does it have? I'd build one if I had the money, but for the computer for MAME and the cost of the other materials, its not really an option. I'm already spending enough on my portables.

I have a 17" monitor and an old computer lying around... I would build one but there's no place to put it.

Really, pretty much all major games, besides the really new ones... because, um, I have every arcade game anyway... and I backed them up myself... yeah, that's it!

I tried makeing one of them but the PC I used barly ran Space Invaders

It was 90 mhz I think, total peice of junk

Very nice indeed. Does the monitor rotate to play both ways for different games (Vertical, Horizontal) or does MAME sort that out. I allways forget. Hmmm, Probably does. You should buy a light gun or steering wheel from Happ controls, I here new versions of MAME have lightgun support depending on the monitor you use.

If I ever have the heart to wreck another SNES, I might try doing a NOAC cabinet, the kind with the nintendo games built in. That would be cool.

Can you make a PC just load MAME instead of having to load Windows? I have an old PC thats pretty good and i was wondering if i could do that

Well I'm not sure if you can just load mame but theres many ways to disguise windows or anyother OS's to look more like an arcade machine. I won't go much in to detial but just but 'Project arcade' by John St.Clair.

I used to have one, and I made it run from MS DOS (Microsoft Disc Operating System), and I just had list of the games you could pick, but ofcourse MS DOS is outdated.

**Not a Mame Though, it was an Atari**
