Exactly how much would you be willing to sell your project (the one you are thinking of selling) for? I actually have a GBO and a HipGear Screen (I tested it and it does work, it was just the power I was feeding it was too little) and would be interested in something like this, depending on how much extra it would cost.

I thought about, added some stuff, and $150 was what I came up with. But if somebody supplied the GBO and screen I could take it down to $100-$110.

That is $5 for labor is a good deal!

That makes 100. However, it is 150 that he would charge without a Hipgear and GBO. Therefore, more like $55 in labor. With the GBO and HipGear, still 45 in labor.

I am so cheap.

Well $100-ish is what it would cost if he sent me the GBO and the screen. If no parts were supplied it would be about $150. It's a lot of work, I gotta make some money for all those hours I would spend.

I'm completely in agreement with your pricing, G-force. Portables are hard work, and one as good as this one would have had to take lots and lots of hours of work. Those hours shouldn't be given away freely. Think about it this way: when you have a job, you expect to be paid for how many hours you spend working. Why shouldn't this principle apply to portables?

I would even buy your second one if it weren't for the fact that I needed money to fund my Carnegie Hall trip.

THAT is one female of the dog species' Portable! I have several questions (i have a GB at home and I plan on modding that puppy to make a portable NES):

First, I gotta fix the damn battery cover and battery compartment. I used Velcro (not a good idea, don't try this at home) to affix the damned thing into place. The battery compartment, on the other hand, got a taste of battery powder (don't ask me why). Is it possible to restore the damn thing to its former glory before I dick with the guts?

Second, NOACs. I know these are illegal to a point (ie with romz0rs on them), but are there legal ways to get a NOAC? I wanted to make one myself, while hacking open my NES to figure out what all the other NOACs lack in compatibility with games such as Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse. Is this possible, or have I been smoking the reefer again?

Third, the cartridges. It's a direct connection, I can see that. However, is the connector permanently soldered into the Gameboy?

Fourth, the screen. Did you have to do heavy modification to have the screen be colorized, or did you hack a pocket television to fit the screen res, and just replaced the green screen cover?

Fifth, the cool Yoshi green color mod. What colors did you mix to make that beautiful Yoshi green? (sorry, got color mixing on the mind, art class is a female of the dog species)

Sixth, the mod where you put something in there to mask the GAME BOY logo. What the hell is that?

Seems like I just ran out of questions. I'll let you answer those 6, G-force, and I can come up with more q's.
