I know assembly is powerfull and all, but could you seriously melt/fry your processor?

sure, it might take a while, but you could do an endless loop of switching all your registers from all 0's to all 1's and back and forth...the processor would get very very (very) hot

Ha, what if you had one of those 386s where the processor is soldered directly to the mobo? Maybe you could desolder the processor!
