I can live with it but seriously kids at my school are like the shuffle sucks cause it doesn't have a screen you can't find the music you like I'm like I only put music on here that I like and walk away!

Same at my skool...Nanos are the *cool* iPods, then Videos follow it. I have both, so i am double the cool

Okay all the storage space is complete overkill in my opinion and just another excuse for Apple to charge more. Only the ipod intended for whole movies really needs 40+ gigs. Unless of course you run an OS on your ipod or something dumb like that which kills the harddrive in a month.

I have a 4GB mini and it's all I need and I don't wanna screw around with linux or whatever the crap people do to their machines nowadays. I have OS kleptomania BTW, I just can't handle anything other than Windows.

More fuel for my rant are the batteries. Those things lose the ability to hold more than a half-hour charge after the first year if not right after the warranty (planned obsolecince). The only iPods that have/will have such battery problems I hear are the flash-driven ones and the high-capacity harddrive ones. I can see the conversation between me and some kid with a nano in a year:

Kid- "Your gay iPod is bigger than mine and has a black and white screen. Mine's sooo cooler than yours!"
Me- "At least I can listen to a whole song without having to recharge."

Well...iPod Linux rules! I mean, gameboy on an iPod!? Sounds good to me! Not to mention Doom....and all other games. Having an un-modded iPod is so unrealistic....i have done everything i can to make my Nano show its better than everyone elses Nano! You think iPL and Rockbox suck because you never got to try it out, or you're too scared to screw your iPod up. I myself could care-less about my nano...i have 2 iPods
