i know that no one cares what i think.. but what would happen to the screen if u closed the ones with the buttons and control sticks pointing up?

Ummm, the screen wouldn't go down. Unless you FORCED it and crushed both the LCD and analog sticks.

As for an external drive, a SCSI interface isn't needed. I know that almost all CD-ROM lasers use a standard interface. The PlayStation drive is one of them, and if wanted you could hook up a notebook drive with a few modifications. That would be tottally sweet then, I'd do it but I don't have the cash to get another notebook drive that might break anyways. Besides, I believe it would have to be the same speed as the PlayStation laser as well. It's 2x right? Or is it 4x? Can't remember that.
I'd imagine right now you wish you were a cuttlefish...
