Is there a way I can make my own slightly small family converter (let's you play nes games on a FC)? I really need a small one for my NOAC portable. Or is there a way to use a Nintendo "panic converter" (Heavy 1985 NES carts with no "rev-a" like Gyromite) in the same way?

Hmmm, you could vector your own schmatics for a PCB that'd make a converter...and minimize that, it's 100% possible, and you could send the files to a PCB maker, so yea, I see it possible

Well, if you really don't want a bulky one, you can do like Ben did and wire a 72 pin connector right to a 60 pin connector board. The pinouts for doing so are on the downloads section of benheck.com

Yeah, that's the winner way to do it (using floppy connectors). If you can find floppy cables with two 5.25" drive connectors on it, you'll only need to butcher one even

For good cart connectors, I just Hack them off converters. >_> But I guess that sorta defeats the purpose. <_<

What kind of "floppy connectors are you guys talking about? I have a bunch of floppy drives and none of them have a connector like that.

It's referring to 5 1/4 floppy drive cables, which have the large card edge connector on them. Get two of them and you'll be set. You should be able to find a couple in any PC with a huge five-and-a-quarter floppy drive.
