Power Connected, Doesn't Work
I finally got around to connecting the battery to the N64 per the diagram made by Neildo 64. When I turned it on, nothing worked. I took some photos of my work so someone can tell me what is wrong:
Here is the DC-DC Converter I wired:

Here is the Power Connections to the N64 I made. This is on the underside of the N64 Mobo:

Here is a sample of the wire connections I made. I took three or more wires and then added a bead of solder to the tip of all the wires, forming what i believe to be a connection. This is what i did; however, tell me if this is wrong:

For connecting wires you should twist the ends together, then use solder to hold them in place (not to make the actual connection). As for nothing working, did you check to make sure the DC-DC converter was working correctly before you hooked it up to the N64? A picture of the bottom side of the converter would also help, to see where all those wires are going.
actually i had originally decided on the 80800 but i didnt get it because samples were backordered. they are almost exactly the same, and if the 80800 isnt broken do NOT go and order an 80000 just because its "better"
anyways. you should check the datasheet then, becuase the wiring could be totally different. and then use a multimeter make sure its outputting the right voltage.
