Yay! Jeff's final computer problems! HELP ME PLEASE :P

Post by Jeff »

I installed Windows Media Centre (don't ask where I got it, lol), and it doesn't recognise my onboard sound or ethernet card, and the media centre app says my Radeon 9250 isn't compatible with the app.

Help me fix these problems?

First thing I'd say do is go to microsoft.com and look in the hcl and see if you're sound and ethernet are there. If not then go to the manufacture's website, and get the drivers. If you can't find the drivers at the website, I'm sure you still have the drivers disc that came with the computer (if it's pre-built), get the drivers from that.

Did you install the right/correct driver? I have an ATI Radion All-in-wonder, you need to install the right driver and any extra software to make it appear as a tv tuner.

If it's that stupid "the drive is not authorized" crap you install it anyway. I've had to contend with that when installing drivers for Audiolgy and Radion 9000 drives. The piece of software they have for that is garbage, don't worry about it.
