Understanding the wiring for a Snesp

Hey, I just started gathering thoughts for my Snesp and I wanted to understand the wiring of how its done (this was my mistake with my nesp, thus causing me to work so long on it) Well, I am basing the wiring off of extreme sonic's diagram:


I basically understand all the wiring, except I have one question. On the Snes board in the picture there are three holes for where the 7805 regulator would be. Does this mean the regulator was desoldered and you just wire where the correspong hole was which connects to the 7805 on the back of the psone screen?

I think this is wrong though, because you need to regulate the power of the battery so you dont fry the SNES board or screen. Can someone explain this better to me? Thanks a lot-minkster

You desolder the SNES 7805 completely and just solder the wire to the hole. What you are doing is connecting the two boards so one 7805 regulates power going to both boards.

Oh, and one tip; instead of desoldering the plugs and wiring the SNES to PSOne screen, just cut off the power/hp mobos on the PSOne screen wires and solder to those. Lots easier.
