It's done!!! (56K death)

Post by codeman »

We finally finished it! My dad and I have been working on his car for the past 3 years (kept running out of money) and now it's done! We literally stripped the engine and started over with a bare block and lots and lots of parts. Today was the best (and fastest) drive to work and back ever...

These pics aren't of ours, but it's exactly the same style and color

The only thing left is to fix the crank shaft seal so it stops leaking oil, but compared to everything else that's a piece of cake. I can't wait to drive it again!
This is my 100th post wooo!

It was an awesome experience. Now i dont feel like a complete idiot when talking to a mechanic...and they cant make up dumb problems to charge me more money! The only thing that would have been better is starting on a less complicated car. It's a twin turbo engine, so everything is crammed in to make it impossible to work on while it's in the car. We had to pull the engine to get the dipstick out!
