Battery question..

Post by yuppicide »

I want to hack something and shove it in a video game cartridge case. The item I'd be stuffing in there will fit, but it runs off of a 9v battery. The battery will JUST BARELY squeeze in.

Is there a 9V battery that will give me almost the same power (or more) and is smaller in size that I can use?! I'd like the item to be able to last just as long as it currently would with a 9V attached.

well you can take the metal shileding off of a 9v battery and it would be slightly smaller. this would be annoying if youre using alkalines... lol

someone made a 9v 'battery' that was a small supercapacitor and a dc-dc converter. it only lasted about as long as a nimh 9v battery, but it charged in like 30 seconds :D.
